Series: The Game (Book 2)
"Can I kiss you?" I asked bashfully. She responded by licking her bottom lip, and that was all it took. I pulled her to me as I lay back on the couch, dragging her body against mine and letting her take control and set the pace. It didn't hurt that this position let me run my hands over her ass and under her panties.
Playing The Game leaves off right where The Game: Kirsten Backhard ends. You have to read The Game first. Playing the Game is a little more serious, not as much goofing around. The characters have matured and are experiencing new life changes. This doesn't take away from the story at all. The characters are still funny when they all get together and the girls are still muff-diving BFFs.
Playing the Game is Derek and Liz's story. I really love Derek Backhard. He is sweet and supportive. I love how he stepped up to the plate and is there for Liz. Liz has started healing and is finding her way again. She has realized how wonderful her support system really is and has been able to move on.
Shawnte Borris is super sweet and that definitely comes across in her writing. Her stories are sweet and funny and I love the way she weaves the character's relationships.
I can't wait to find out what happens with Adam and Caroline next.
If you enjoy funny banter and sweet, supportive, and crazy friends then this is a series for you.
