Series: The Fae Guard - Book 3
"It would be ideal to find the one the universe has created to complete your soul. However, being fated has nothing to do with the heart. Accepting this fate is a choice and if you aren't in love, what is the point? Increased power is no substitute for an eternity without the person you love with your whole heart."
First of all, let me just tell you how excited I was that there were quotes from The Labyrinth in Chasing Hayleigh! One of my all time favorite movies!! So excited!
Okay. Back on track.
Hayleigh has lived a hard life, pushed aside by everyone that was supposed to love her. But she now has friends, people she might be able to fully trust with her secrets.
Brannon has waited four years for Hayleigh to be ready for a relationship. He's not going to wait any longer, but will his secrets destroy him and any chance he has at happiness?
I enjoyed Elle Christensen's writing style, how easy it was to picture what was happening with the characters and their relationships. Not just their romantic relationships but also the friendship between all of the characters.
Brannon is funny, strong, loving, patient, kind, and a little cavemanish :) Hayleigh is smart, beautiful, strong, a little damaged, and a kick ass fighter. Together they are perfect for each other!
