Just One Regret by Stacey Lynn

Release Date:  September 20, 2015
Pages:  252

Excerpt:
"I'm used to the rush of adrenaline, the buzzing in my veins as I enter the ring ready to face an opponent.  This is entirely different.
This is a fight I have no knowledge of.  This is a battle where I haven't been able to scour my opponent's weaknesses or strengths.  There is no type of training that can prepare me for the afternoon ahead of me."

My thoughts:
Kennedy has had a hard childhood and has had to make some even harder life decisions.  Grayson also had a hard childhood but has made something of himself in the ring.  They were best friends but now they both have secrets and regrets, will it bring them together or tear them apart?
I enjoyed this book, it was a quick, steamy, emotional, heartfelt read.  It has a little of everything in it.  Friends to lovers, second chance romance, heartbreak, forgiveness, understanding, hope...all that and a sexy MMA fighter - what more could you ask for in one book?

The Woodcutter by Kate Danley

Release Date: November 6, 2012
Pages: 346

Excerpt:
"Within her eyes was the gratitude of the thousands of souls that knew him.  He saw them.  He saw the faces of the fae, the faces of the Wood.  He heard their voices as they whispered in his ear of their thanks for what he had endured, for the sacrifices he had made.  He felt in his being their emotions, those feelings that words could not describe.  They were here because he loved without thinking.
They were here because he was loved.
Truly loved.
True love."

My thoughts:
The Woodcutter is a collection of almost every faery tale you heard as a child.  The Woodcutter is beautifully written and takes the reader off to another world.  I could easily picture the Woodcutter walking through the Wood and what he was seeing.

The Woodcutter is following in his father's footsteps just as his father did before him.  He doesn't have an easy life and neither does his wife, who chose to stay by his side after she learned the truth about her husband.  This is a story about one's destiny, about being selfless, and about not giving up hope.

The Woodcutter may not be a story for everyone but if you enjoy fantasy, true love, princesses, and happily ever afters than maybe this is a book for you.

Release Date:  June 2, 2015
Pages:  384

Excerpt:
"I reached into the corner.  My hand closed over the blunt end of the baseball bat my mother kept in the entryway, and I waited for my eyes to adjust.  I blinked, making out the rumpled yellow slipcover on the sofa, the juice glass full of butts and ashes on the table beside it.
Someone had been here."

My Opinion:
Another beautiful cover!!  How could you see this on a shelf and not pick it up?  It's such a strong image.

Nearly is once again in a crazy situation.  I was frustrated for her.  I felt as if she was alone and having to deal with all this crap again - at least until Reece decided to pull his head out of his ass.

Elle, once again, takes you on a roller-coaster ride. What I love most about her writing is that it keeps the reader thinking and guessing at who could possibly be behind it.  At least, with Nearly Found I guessed right (I personally believe I deserve a cookie for that)!  But the answer wasn't right in front of my face.  I picked up on the characters vibe - something just didn't feel right to me.
How many times have you read a story and gotten the vibes of a character?  That alone shows what an awesome writer she is!

Nearly Found was an amazing read and I seriously hope that Elle Cosimano writes more books about Nearly!  I have questions from this one that I hope will be answered in another story.

So, many thanks to Elle Cosimano for another great story about the strong, smart, and persistent Nearly Faith Boswell!

Release Date: March 25, 2014
Pages: 388

Excerpt:
“Vince sneered at me with bloody teeth and dropped the twenties at my feet as security herded him through the crowd. I didn't pick them up. A shoulder bumped against me, and I looked up into Reece's expressionless face as security marched him past.
He didn't even look at me, his words cold enough to burn.
"I hope you're worth it.”

My Opinion:
Nearly is being framed.  Only a few unlikely people believe in her innocence.  Will she be able to discover who is behind everything before it's too late?

First, look at how beautiful that cover is!!  I know we aren't supposed to judge a book by its cover, but I do!  The cover helps to draw the reader in but the amazing writing keeps you.
Second, Elle Cosimano is a super sweet, nice, and amazing person.  I loved meeting her and talking with her at National Book Fest 2015.  She was the reason I went and definitely did not disappoint!
Third, I just love this book!  It is intriguing, smart, well-developed, and leaves you guessing.  I did a re-read of Nearly Gone and even though I knew who was behind everything, I still didn't see where the answer was right in front of your face.

If you enjoy YA or suspense, thriller books then please give Nearly Gone a try!!
