Release Date: January 19, 2016
Pages: 322
Excerpt:
He gets me. He knows what I need even though I've never wanted this. I need control; it's power, and without it, I'm weak. But Mark takes that power. He steals it from me, but it doesn't feel like theft. It's a gift.
My thoughts:
Defenseless can be read as a standalone, but it does add more insight into The Belonging Duet and The Consolation Duet. This is Mark's story. His chance at a HEA.
Mark has always been supportive of his friends, even when he doesn't agree with their decisions/actions. He is dependable, funny and cocky. I loved his character!
Charlie has Mark's attention. She also has secrets, a ton of them. Charlie doesn't want a relationship but the chemistry between her and Mark is undeniable.
Together they are one of my favorite couples. I loved their banter, their stubbornness and their determination.
I highly recommend this book!
